This volume comprises six monographs: automotive gasoline and five oxygenated gasoline additives \u2013 methyl <em>tert<\/em>-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl <em>tert<\/em>-butyl ether (ETBE), <em>tert<\/em>-butyl alcohol (TBA), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), and <em>tert<\/em>-amyl methyl ether (TAME).<\/p>\r\n<p>The <em>IARC Monographs<\/em> Working Group reviewed evidence from epidemiological studies in humans, cancer bioassays in experimental animals, and mechanistic studies to assess the carcinogenic hazard to humans of exposure to these agents and concluded that: automotive gasoline is <em>carcinogenic to humans<\/em> (Group 1); MTBE and ETBE are <em>possibly carcinogenic to humans<\/em> (Group 2B); and TBA, DIPE, and TAME are each <em>not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans<\/em> (Group 3).<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/publications.iarc.who.int\/652\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Visit the Volume 138 webpage<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":62788,"template":"","class_list":["post-63137","news-events","type-news-events","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","cancer-site_taxonomy-bladder-cancer-fr","cancer-site_taxonomy-leukaemia-fr","research-topic_taxonomy-cancer-hazard-identification-fr","risk-factor_taxonomy-environmental-exposures-fr","risk-factor_taxonomy-occupational-exposures-fr"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/iarc.spherical.horse\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news-events\/63137","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/iarc.spherical.horse\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news-events"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/iarc.spherical.horse\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news-events"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/iarc.spherical.horse\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/62788"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/iarc.spherical.horse\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=63137"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
