The seminar, \u201cHealth system resilience and cancer control: from analytical frameworks to real-world applications\u201d, and the workshop, which aimed to develop a collaborative work plan on resilience in cancer control, took place on 18 June 2026.<\/p>\r\n<p>The seminar included an address by Professor Alessandro Jatob\u00e1, Deputy Head of the Laborat\u00f3rio de Tecnologia, Informa\u00e7\u00e3o e Resili\u00eancia em Sa\u00fade P\u00fablica (ResiliSUS) of the Centro de Estudos Estrat\u00e9gicos Ant\u00f4nio Ivo de Carvalho (CEE), part of the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dr Marco Paschoalotto, Deputy Director of the Center for Political Science Research (CICP) at the University of Minho, Portugal, also delivered remarks. After the seminar, the IARC IRCC team hosted the workshop.<\/p>\r\n<p>This was the first joint event held since IARC and Fiocruz signed a Memorandum of Understanding for international cooperation on 21 May 2026, during the scientific conference for IARC\u2019s 60th anniversary.
